What a great turn out Tuesday at our Joyce Avenue neighbourhood consultation event for the upcoming Community Hub! If you live and/or work in the area and haven’t yet offered your input yet, please do so before the end of this week through our survey here!: forms.gle/Faitp4Wcf9KvEu9RA (we're looking for feedback from anyone in the general vicinity of Elmwood Drive and McLaughlin Drive between Hennessey Road and Morton Avenue, including Beechwood and Fairview Knoll)Garden Cities would like to thank the YWCA Moncton (shout out to @Nicole Stéphanie!) Youth Services Team who offered access to the Beechwood / YWCA community center and it’s parking lot, which made it possible for us to safely host the many individuals and families who were able to attend and make their voices heard. We especially would like to acknowledge and thank Bobbi Jo Silliker who shows incredible leadership in supporting this project in many ways, as well as Hafsah Mohammad - Moncton At-Large / Générale, whose passion for this community and initiative led to her volunteering many hours to help spread the word about intentions for the Hub. It was also encouraging to see Krysta Cowling - Moncton At-Large / Générale, and Rob McKee - Moncton Centre attending to support food security initiatives in this community.Last but certainly not least - a huge thank you to Freddie's Pizza Elmwood Dr and MacArthur's Nurseries Inc. for their donations to the event, to Jessika Gauvin of Enchanted Mushroom Forest Walks for bringing her awesome family to volunteer all afternoon, and our incredible new Katimavik Volunteer Emily Steingart for helping to keep us on track and braving the cold throughout the entire event - we are so lucky to have such a fantastic team!We appreciate all of you who came out and participated in this event and we look forward to connecting more as progress unfolds at this exciting new Community Hub in development by The John Howard Society of Southeastern New Brunswick and Visions United Church.*****Quelle superbe participation mardi dernier à notre activité de consultation du quartier de l'avenue Joyce concernant le futur carrefour communautaire!
