Transition Team Update

Update from the Transition Committee to Visions’ Congregation

Jane, Wayne and Claudia have had discussions with six other congregations in our area, to determine which congregation(s) best match with Visions’ values and style of worship. We will share our findings after the service on Sunday. After Sunday’s presentation and discussion, we hope that it will be easier for each of you to decide what you would like to do with your membership.

Arrangements have been finalized for dispersal of several large items in Visions’ inventory:
1. “Godly Play” children’s program and storage units have been donated to St John’s United Church as they have a fairly large children’s group.
2. “Performance Bells” (hand bells and tone chimes) and accessories are going to St. Paul’s United in  Riverview as they have a large choir, space and desire to start a bell choir.
3. “Children’ furniture” used at Trinity Theatre is being donated to Moncton HeadStart for their programs with children ages 2 and up.
4. “Craft supplies & games” are being donated to Camp Ta-Wa-Si.

If you have any questions or comments regarding the disbanding process, please contact a member of the Transition Committee:

2026 Survey Results

Last month a survey was distributed to members of the congregation. The questions in the survey were designed to help identify what values and issues are important to Visions' members as they discern which other Community of Faith to join once Visions United disbands. Attached is an analysis of the survey results.

The next steps to take will be discussed after Sunday's service.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact one of the VU members of the Transition Committee: Norma Bellamy, Fay Cameron, Glenna Lightfoot, Claudia Schaerer or Wayne Toole.

2025 Annual General Meeting

Visions Annual Meeting will take place on Sunday, February 22nd during our morning worship.

Audrey Lounder will be with us and will combine our business with our worship for a meaningful congregational gathering. We are asking folks to contribute to a "finger food" lunch once again. On this occasion, it could be sweet (cookies, squares, fruit, etc.) or savory (sandwiches, biscuits, cheese, vegetables, etc.).

The tables will be set up as they were last week with tea & coffee.
