Christmas Eve 10:00 am Service Livestream

Christmas Eve 7pm Service

How does a weary world rejoice? We make room.

The story of Jesus' birth is a story about the Spirit ‘making room’ in unlikely places and circumstances. Where are we called to ‘make room’ this Christmas in our world, our lives, our hearts? Join us as we light candles amid weariness, pray for peace, sing good news, and make room in our hearts to receive and offer an open-hearted welcome.

Please note: There is no livestream/recording of this service.

Visions in the Cloud – Dec 17

10:30am - Café Church

This is an opportunity for adults to gather for music, reflection and conversation in Café style.

We sing stories of Hope

We gather to sing stories of hope and celebrate Communion at table together. As we draw nearer to our celebration of Christ's birth, we consider the songs of hope sung by Mary and by Zechariah, and consider the stories of hope, justice and joy which need to be sung today.

Zoom instead of Livestream: There is no livestream this week. Instead we invite you to join by zoom. Bring your coffee/tea and join the conversation with other zoom participants.

The Zoom link was sent out with our weekly mailer, so refer to that for details.

Please note:

  • Come early after 10am for Conversation Café in the Grand Room
  • There is no children's program or livestream this Sunday (Families are invited to join us for Supper Church)

Supper Church for All Ages - 3:30-5:30ish

Celebrate Christmas by making Christingles and with an interactive worship time. 'Christingle' means 'Christ Child' and originates from the Moravian Church. Liam Holeiter will share this tradition from his childhood.

Join us for the whole event or come after 4:45pm for a Potluck Christmas Gathering and Caroling.

Bring your own dishes/utensils to help with clean-up, if you can!

Visions in the Cloud – Dec 10

We allow ourselves to be amazed

How often do you allow yourself to be amazed? Wonder is all around us when we have eyes to see and ears to hear. How does a weary world rejoice? Amazement is a balm for the weary. Join us as we light the Advent Candle of Joy and wonder in amazement with Elizabeth and Zechariah (Luke 1:57-66).

Visions in the Cloud – Dec 03

We find joy in connection

In community, our joy expands. When we can't rejoice, we can carry each other's joy. That's what Elizabeth and Mary do for each other! Join us this Sunday as we hear the stories of Gabriel's visit to Mary, and Mary's visit with Elizabeth. (Luke 1:24-45) We light the Advent Candle of Peace and enjoy special music from our Handbell Choir.

Visions in the Cloud – Nov 05

Where do we go from here?

This week we engage the final question of our series: "Where do we go from here?" This final question invites us to foster hope and imagination whenever we find ourselves on the threshold of something new. We hear the story of Naomi and Ruth and remind ourselves what it means to walk alongside each other into new beginnings. (Ruth 1:1-22)

Visions in the Cloud – Oct 29

What do you need?

When someone is hurting, how do we ask "What do you need?" This week our courageous conversations take us into shared spaces of vulnerability, honesty and compassionate care. We need each other. We consider the difference between sympathy and empathy. We turn to the story of Job for a window into wisdom. (Job 1:11-13)

We invite you to ponder your needs and answer, "I've been meaning to ask... what do you need?"
